SVG to PNG converter
Turn vector SVG files into PNG images at 1x, 2x, 4x or an exact width. Keep the transparent background or fill a colour. The file is drawn on a canvas in your browser and never uploaded.
- No upload · no account · no watermark
- Batch: one PNG download per SVG
- SVG rendered as an image: its scripts never run

Several at once · up to 10 MiB each · stays on this device
How the conversion works
- You choose or drop one or more
.svgfiles, or paste markup. The File API reads them in this tab. - The tool reads the root
<svg>tag as text to findwidth, heightandviewBox. If width and height are missing, the viewBox size is the 1x size. Units likemmorptare converted at 96 px per inch. - It writes your target pixel size into that root tag, wraps the text in a
blob:URL and loads it into an<img>. The browser rasterises the vector at the target size, so 4x output is sharp, not an upscaled 1x bitmap. - The image is drawn on a
<canvas>, optionally over a solid colour, and exported withcanvas.toBlobas PNG. Each result gets its own Download link.
Honest limits
- External fonts and images do not load. SVG drawn as an image cannot fetch anything: Google Fonts links,
@import, and<image href="https://…">are blocked by the browser. Text falls back to a local font and may look different. Outline text or embed images asdata:URIs first. See why fonts look different. - No scripts, no animation. Scripts inside the SVG never run here, and SMIL or CSS animation is captured as a single frame.
- Size caps. 16384 px per side, 64 megapixels total, 10 MiB per SVG, 50 files per batch. Phones may run out of memory before the cap.
- Entity declarations refused. Files containing
<!ENTITYare rejected to block entity-expansion bombs. Normal design-tool exports do not use them. - Rendering engine is your browser. Chrome, Firefox and Safari can differ slightly on filters, blend modes and text. SVGs with
foreignObjectHTML content are refused by Chrome at export time (tainted canvas); you get a clear error. - No ZIP. Each PNG downloads separately; the browser may ask to allow multiple downloads.
- PNG only. No JPEG, WebP, ICO or PDF output in this version.

FAQ
Is my SVG uploaded?
No. The file is read with the File API and drawn onto a canvas inside this tab. The PNG is a blob: URL made in the page. There is no upload endpoint, and the Content-Security-Policy sets connect-src 'none', so scripts on the page cannot send fetch, XHR or beacon requests.
Why do my fonts or embedded photos look different?
The SVG is rendered as an image. Browsers block every external resource for SVG used as an image: web fonts from a URL, linked images, and CSS @import do not load. Text falls back to a font installed on your device. Convert text to outlines in your editor, or embed images as data: URIs, for a faithful PNG.
Does the PNG keep a transparent background?
Yes, by default. Areas the SVG does not paint stay fully transparent in the PNG. Untick Transparent and pick a colour if you want a solid background, for example for a JPEG-only upload form that shows transparency as black.
How large can the PNG be?
Each side is capped at 16384 px and the total at 64 megapixels (for example 8000 x 8000). Many phones fail sooner because a canvas that size needs about 256 MB of memory. You get a clear error instead of a blank file.
My SVG has no width or height. Will it work?
Yes if it has a viewBox: the viewBox width and height become the 1x size. If it has neither width/height nor a viewBox, the tool cannot know the drawing size and asks you to set a custom width and height.
Is it safe to open an SVG from someone else?
The tool never inserts SVG markup into the page. It renders only through an img element, where browsers do not run scripts in the SVG and do not fetch external references. Files with XML entity declarations are refused to avoid entity-expansion bombs. That limits what a hostile file can do here, but keep treating unknown SVGs with care in other apps.
Can I convert several SVGs at once?
Yes. Drop or pick several .svg files. Each one is converted with the same settings and gets its own Download link. There is no ZIP: your browser may ask once to allow multiple downloads when you use Download all.
